Due
to the overwhelming demand for mental health services in our
community following Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Mercy
Family Center currently has an approximately
three month waiting list for first appointments.
Our immediate goal is to reduce this wait time by fall 2008
with the addition of psychologists and psychiatrists to our
clinical staff. If this wait is too long for your needs, our
intake coordinators will be happy to work with you to identify
other mental health resources in our area. Please
check back regularly as the wait time may shorten as we work
through our current list. Thank you for your patience
and understanding.
